Maine Autistic Advocacy Collective
Who Are We?
We are a group of Autistic adults united in common advocacy goals & hopes for the Autistic community. Our members are diverse & our vastly different perspectives are a big strength.
What Do We Do?
We are working to improve service provider training, public education & perception about autism. Our members form a supportive network of local Autistic people to connect with both face to face and electronically. We hope to offer more social events, movie screenings, & educational community panels in the near future!
Maine Autistic Advocacy Collective meetings are held monthly on Wednesday’s from 6:00-7:30pm in Westbrook. These meetings are closed to Autistic self-advocates only and are a welcoming space for members to build relationships with other Autistic people while contributing a positive impact on the local community through advocacy efforts.
Maine Autistic Advocacy Collective members are welcome to attend all Maine Autism Collective meetings; both Wednesday and Friday meeting information can be found on our calendar.
